Lorenzo P. Bonina
Principal/Broker - CCIM
Lorenzo grew up in a real estate family and enjoys every aspect of putting deals together. He is a natural born leader with a results-driven philosophy, committed to getting the job done for his clients. Lorenzo comes to Pegasus with a background in Sales and running Sales teams. He was a Division 1 college athlete and is an avid golfer. He has experience in land and building sales, as well as leasing commercial and industrial properties, golf courses, and apartment buildings.
To date, Lorenzo has achieved over $9 million in sales from multifamily apartments, land leases/sales, office buildings, and retail leasing.
Phillip L. Bonina
Principal/Broker
Phillip established Pegasus Real Estate Group with his son, Lorenzo in 2015, after having worked in commercial real estate for 35+ years with a product focus in petroleum, retail, land development, leaseholds and specialty properties.
Phillip spent over 20 years as director of real estate for two major oil companies and enjoys structuring, negotiating and successfully closing transactions, as well as securing challenging land entitlements, and governmental approvals. Phil is a Civil Engineer, a CPM, a CCIM©, both a CA & TX Broker Licensee, as well as having served as Chairman/Member of the Orange Planning Commission.
Joan M. Bonina
Principal/Broker
Joan has been a broker since 1982 and has specialization in landlord and client representation in shopping centers for lease and sale in California and Arizona.
Prior to owning her own company, she was a project manager and VP in charge of overseeing commercial leases with mom and pops as well as large grocery and drugstore retailers. She earned an MBA from Pepperdine University.
In addition to her role at Pegasus, Joan has dedicated the last fourteen years working for the non-profit Catholic apologetics apostolate of Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J., of the Magis Center. She has served as Chief of Staff and Director of Administration assisting in creating, editing and narrating Audible books authored by Fr. Spitzer.

Senior Advisor
With a focus on multi-family, office, and retail spaces in Southern California, Jay brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his clients. Starting his journey as a residential agent at MJSJ Inc., he honed his skills as an advisor and coordinator, catering to investors and first-time homeowners. Transitioning to SVN Vanguard as a commercial advisor further enriched his expertise before he found his home at Pegasus Real Estate Group in 2025.
Jay's commitment to excellence ensures top-notch service for his clients, always going the extra mile. Beyond the office, he finds joy in exploring new culinary delights, spending time with friends, and expressing his creativity through drawing and painting.
Joe Klingensmith
Real Estate Advisor
Josef joins Pegasus with a background in Sales and Business Development. He has his real estate license and his NMLS license and is knowledgeable about buying, selling, leasing, and financing commercial and residential real estate. Josef’s family has been invested in commercial and residential real estate for decades which is what initially prompted him to get into the industry.
He attended Mater Dei High School before attending San Francisco State University where he received his degree in economics. He loves spending time with his family, traveling, experiencing new cultures, playing guitar, investing, hot sauce, and food.
